I grew up in a blessed, loving, supportive, and happy home where I was taught from the jump that knowledge is the foundation of true wisdom. My parents immigrated from Cuba in the 1980's where many life lessons were learned and passed down to my sister and I. I am a true believer that America boasts opportunities to those that have an insatiable hunger for success driven by passion.
Attending the University of Miami has exposed me to value driven professionals that have guided me into discovering my shortcomings and my assets. Professors like Robert Rubin and Susana Alvarez have put me in rigorous academic situations that illuminated many constructive lessons, but most importantly that knowledge is power, network = net worth, and that compassion goes a long way.
Upon graduation from UM in May, I will begin apprenticeship at Labrador Primary Care Center, Family Medicine Physician Practice in order to gain more experience to apply the very first day of Graduate School at UM focused on healthcare administration. Upon graduation with a Master's Degree, I plan on being a Triple Cane while matriculating into UM School of Law with a focus on Medical Contracts.
An application interface created for students, by students that alleviates stress more for incoming students but can be helpful to the entire population. The app features location services, Uber Ride-share, campus marketplace, social network, and more all in one place!
I was fortunate to be part of a class in which the only assignment was to consult for a live, fully operating company in an effort to solve some problems they were facing in the market. Holstein Housewares is a company that sells household appliances like blenders, coffee, omelet, and arepa makers. The 2 pronged consultation's goal was to 1. Find new distribution channels for Holstein to market and sell products within the United States borders and 2. To propose a design for the 2024 Seasonal Collection of Holstein Houseware Appliances.
CEO of Killa Dinks, an emerging Pickleball brand, requested that selected University of Miami students create a realistic marketing plan for his introductory stage venture. This project's purpose was to elevate the brand image, explore possible partnerships, create hypothetical activations, and appeal more naturally to the addressable market.
Gameble is a feasible, mock venture intended to push online gambling into a new frontier. It was designed as a gambling platfrom that integrates directly into iMessage, similar to the GamePigeon feature. The platform includes a variety of games where you can invite friends to partake, chat with them mid-play, and receive an instant payout if the player gambles positively.
A team of University of Miami students were tasked with selecting three publicly traded companies in the Hospitality Industry to create an overall consensus of which company is more effective holistically (financials, company culture, trend projections). Financial analyses were conducted like expected stock return, coupon bonds, P/B ratios, price & equity data, EPS, dividend yield/payout, trailing P/E ratio, EV/EBITDA, discounted free cash flow model, and more in order to calculate the efficacy of all three companies.
A cohort of University of Miami students were tasked with compiling data regarding the best foreign cities to visit on holiday. Our group focused on Barcelona, Lisbon, Paris, Madrid, and Ibiza. We then used Tableau and cleaned financial reports to compile and compare analyses on amount of people who travel to the city, plane travel rate, hotel stay rate, daily living price, wine & meal rates, and a sunset cruise & boat tour rates. After compilation, we created crisp and clear dashboards that summarized our most crucial findings.
Cane's Consulting was tasked with creating a strategic marketing plan for Hyperfine Inc. which is a medical technology company that has manufactured the first FDA-cleared, AI-powered, portable, ultra-low-field MR brain imaging that increases the frequency of efficient clinical decisions. The analysis included how Swoop fits into the competitive landscape, SWOT assessment, clearly defining the target market/segment, compiling market research, creating mock focus groups for clinicians and non clinicians, development of a reasonable one-year tactical plan, and concluding with an overview of performance tracking plan (KPI). The slide deck is designed to be presented to the C-Suite of Hyperfine Inc.
